Food Time!

So I think it is safe to say that Conner LOVES food, as long as he's not too tired he'll eat almost anything. He does still have a harder time with things like lettuce or hard raw veggies, but he's taking it in stride.

And since Conner loves to EAT he also loves to COOK. I frequently find his play food in my pots and pans when I pull them out or he's always "stirring" things (like the toilet water using my cell phone!).

Here he is carrying around one of my little sauce pans which he has basically claimed for his own.

And raiding the fridge. You can't open it with him around or else this is what happens.

"Why I'll take one of those please!"

And he is in the stage now where he insists that he feeds himself or he won't eat, which can get frustrating because we eat a lot of soups and yogurt and things right now and he won't eat anything off the spoon unless he can scoop it himself and do it. Well as you can see from the mess that he isn't very good at getting it IN his mouth yet. He basically just dips the spoon in. So I try to stuff him full of food as much as I can in between his bites, but will only let me use my fingers, so I get a bit messy too!

And feeding himself usually leads to this during the day! Which this kiddo doesn't mind. He would prefer to have only a diaper on all the time.

The one day he actually let me put a bib on him and he kept it on! Thank goodness!!

Christmas

We had SUCH a fun Christmas and sure love having such an excited and enthusiastic little boy to share it all with!

We did however learn this year that despite what we thought, Conner does actually have a fear of a person, the social guy that he is. He is TERRIFIED of Santa!!!

This was his first encounter with Santa, it took him a few seconds before he started crying but then he was done.

Second encounter with Santa....crying started as soon as he saw him even though I never let him go! We must be mean parents but we had to try again....now we know. We'll see how next year goes!!

We spent Christmas Eve with some cousins and sure had fun! It is nice to have them by us! Here is the Little man getting ready for the nativity.

Opening up his Christmas Eve gift.

And as well intentioned as I might have been, I made us all matching red Spiderman PJ pants, but did not finish mine or Dustin's and I purposefully made Conner's big so they would fit him next year....I just had no clue HOW much bigger I made them :) So he can wear them at least the next two years! But is was super cute to see him walking around. I'll finish ours sometime soon and we'll get a family picture :)

Here we are Christmas morning with Conner coming down the stairs....

Oh wait he sees his gift.....

"Get me down there right now Daddy!!"

Let's just say he LOVEd his tool bench.

He was so funny. We kept handing him another present once he was done with the previous one and he just kept looking at us like "What is this day?!? This is the best day ever!!"

He was SO excited about getting balls, but he had a difficult time trying to hold all three.....

Can you tell there is a theme in our entire house??

This kid LOVES to cook and help out in the kitchen so he's so funny with his pots now.

It was a great Christmas!!

Adventures of the Little Man

It amazes me how much the Little Man is learning daily from giving kisses upon request to waving to FINALLY beginning to sign "all done" and "more" rather than just whining....oh that whine. So glad it is helping. He also dances when he hears music and will walk around the house "talking" on the cell phone if he finds his toy ones or ours. It makes me laugh so hard every time! This really is such a fun stage!

Here he is working on his newest talent! Eating chalk....ok so he's actually getting better and coloring more than eating now.

But now he can find ANYTHING that is left out. He is such a good helper with keeping a clean house :)

I seriously LOVE him in his hat and gloves. He hates his gloves but mommy is mean and makes him wear them anyways :)

Ok so this is old....he voted with Dustin this year and thought it was pretty awesome.

We also think Conner is afraid of the dark since our amazing sleeper would wake up during the middle of the night terrified, and I mean terrified and hard to get back to bed. We bought him a night light and he now MUST sleep with his light up singing sea horse we call "Bub" at night.

However, we have on our hands a Linus from "Peanuts". This kid LOVES his blanket. We're talking giggles and smiles whenever he sees it and now he grabs it with him in the morning when he gets out of bed and carried it around with him. He insisted on bringing it into a restaurant last night but I drew the line and he wasn't very happy with me. But the reunion when we got back in the car was well worth it because he was SO excited to see his blanket waiting for him. I have to admit I think it is adorable!

This kid is obsessed with spoons still.

Case and point. Anything that looks like a spoon will do!

We love our giggly happy little boy!
