Conner's First Christmas!

We had an enjoyable Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! It is so nice to have some family near and to enjoy our first Christmas with our new addition! Even though he was only just over 3 weeks we still had fun! And more than ever we miss our other family that is not here!!!

Christmas Eve we met some of my family at Great Falls to go walk around and enjoy the sunshine. Conner was perfectly happy in his favorite place! Even though I was super protective Mommy and kept trying to put more clothes on him and tucking blankets around him and Dustin. He is just lucky I decided to not put on the HUGE snowsuit....

Conner just sleeps. It is like he thinks he's back in Utero or something!

Totally wiped out from a day of partying hard!!

Our Growing Boy!!

When we were expecting Conner so many people kept saying "Enjoy because it goes fast!!" And I never truly understood until now! Conner is only 5 weeks old and he has already gained 3 lbs past his birth weight and grown at least 3 inches! He is learning so much every day it seems like. He is getting better head control and started holding in the pacifier at times and today he even rolled over! Granted he was doing tummy time and pushed himself up with his hands and due to his head bobbling momentum flew to his side.....but still that counts right?!?

I feel SO blessed to have a chill baby....besides the occasionally gassy times when he gets really upset and grunts a lot, but those are getting better. He will just play on the floor and look around. Sometimes he prefers to be on the ground looking around rather than being held. He loves his bouncer and swing most of the time :) and will just chill in his bouncer while I shower and get ready.  He is smiling more frequently, we discovered he is ticklish, and does NOT like you to tickle his back or feet, but this works when trying to keep him awake.

We have been blessed to have family staying with us and all the excitement with Christmas, my sister Sarah's Endowments, Sarah's Wedding, 3 birthdays and Conner's Baby Blessing in 8 days. However, once it was all said and done, Conner graduated to his own room and his crib!! He grunts too much in his sleep and he keeps me up because I keep thinking he's up and needs to be taken care of. Sleeping has been MUCH better for everyone involved since he moved to his own room and we got him a space heater that keeps his room warm (we learned he doesn't like to be wrapped in blankets, but gets cold super easily, and also needs some white noise to stay asleep). He is now sleeping in 3-5 hour stretches at night!

Here are some pictures of him over the past 2 weeks!

Chilling in his swing
Falling asleep in his bouncer while mom gets ready.....using the blow dryer and all!!
Getting ready for Christmas Day and his first time going to Church!!
 Watching some T.V. with Daddy
Falling asleep after going on a walk with Mom in his carrier. This boy LOVES the infant carrier. If ever he is fussy, all you have to do is put him in it and walk outside and he's super happy! And usually falls asleep shortly after.
Getting ready to go to Grandma and Grandpas. He does NOT like that I put him in hats whenever we go outside and although he likes the car and a moving carseat, he usually gets mad when you put him in, but calms down after being buckled and moving. He gives me this look all the time.

First time taking a nap in his crib. This was before we bought the space heater.
Getting dressed to go out by Aunt Sarah. He was not happy about his clothes being put on and kept giving her dirty looks.
This is also a look he gives me all the time once I put a hat on him. Like "Mommy...seriously again?!?"

Christmas Tradition

For as long as I remember we have been making Santa Claus cookies during Christmas time. This year Grandma and Grandpa Maughan came over to help me this year along with Ben and Sarah. It was so fun to watch Grandpa Maughan help out. And then Ben and Sarah help with frosting. I had forgotten how much goes into these cookies but aren't they so cute!!
